Daniel is a founding member and current Chief Executive of ‘a space’ arts based in Southampton.
From their first artist-led gallery space, opening 2002, he has overseen the development and growth of the organisation, leading it to become a charity and national portfolio organisation.
He has known for delivering innovative projects to support visual artists along with culturally reanimating vacant buildings to create intriguing and inspiring cultural spaces that support artists and welcome the public.
In 2018 the organisation opened the RIBA award winning venue Gods House Tower, now their flagship venue and the core of their commissioning programme, along with RIPE a graduate retention project based in three character properties on Old Northam Road.
He Chairs the Creative Industries Impact Board at Southampton Solent University and in 2026 was awarded a BEM in the Kings Birthday honours for services to artists and arts and heritage.
