CVAN South East is a partnership initiative managed by Modern Art Oxford. It aims to be an effective network for the sector in this region by working in partnership on strategic projects and programmes, and by sharing learning and information to maximise expertise and creative thinking.

The network is concerned with developing critically engaged art practice, and is dedicated to promoting a visual arts ecology that thrives on the interdependence of many stakeholders, including artists and art professionals, local government, higher education, not-for-profit and commercial sectors.

A major element of our programme is the Platform Graduate Award that we have managed since 2012. CVAN South East is supported by Arts Council England.

CVAN South East is managed by Oliver Sumner and chaired by Kate Adams MBE, CEO/Artist Director, Project Art Works. It has an active steering group made up of artists, arts workers and a wide-ranging partnership network of visual arts organisations across the region.
