Community Forum on Audience Engagement

Free online event: Thursday 18 August, 2 – 3.15pm

During the pandemic, visual arts organisations learned to deliver their services in new ways, learning digital skills and bringing art to the high street, rural settings and doorsteps when gathering indoors was prohibited. Our experience taught us that not everyone feels comfortable attending art galleries.

The Audience Agency’s Community Forum Live events are a friendly space for conversation about data-led audience development with a like-minded group of colleagues from across the sector. The Audience Agency will be sharing tips for using its Audience Finder data tools, a brief overview of their latest research, and some inspiring real-world good practice, but it’s primarily an opportunity to talk about your own experiences; whether that’s trends you’re noticing in your audiences, challenges around data collection, or a recent success you’re proud of.

Newlyn Art Gallery and Exchange will share their innovative approach to audience development and community engagement with the Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme.

All are welcome, but you’ll get the most out of this event if you have some familiarity with Audience Finder.
