Catharine Braithwaite has nearly 30 years of experience in arts marketing communications, mainly working in the visual arts and museums sector. She is an Associate Lecturer in marketing at The School of Museums Studies, University of Leicester, where she teaches on the MA. Catharine has been a trustee for various not-for-profit and cultural organisations, including HOME Manchester. She has worked with Manchester International Festival as interim Director of Press, and The Hepworth Wakefield as Interim Director of Marketing and Development. 

Her freelance experience is extensive, working with clients including Liverpool Biennial, British Textile Biennial, The Lowry, Channel 4, Southbank Touring, Manchester’s Commonwealth Games Festival, Arts Council Collection, Asia Triennial Manchester, Manchester Literature Festival, Tate Liverpool, Imperial War Museum North, National Museums Liverpool, Manchester Art Gallery, the Whitworth, University of Salford Art Collection, Compton Verney and Storyhouse Chester.
