WATCH: Digital March: #ArtIsEssential

In Autumn 2021, the Government’s Comprehensive Spending Review will set out the budget for the next three years – what do you want to be part of it?

This June, CVAN hosted a digital march where we were joined by a panel of speakers who responded to the proposed cuts to art and creative courses in higher eduction. We put to the public: “If you could ask the Government to do one thing for the visual arts, what would it be?” and called on those attending to make / create / produce a placard in preparation to stage an online digital march using the hashtag #ArtIsEssential to unite us as one voice. You can catch up on the amazing panel of speakers by watching the event video.
