Join the CVAN Fair and Equitable team and guest speakers to discuss and explore the newly published Fair and Equitable programme research report, ‘Fostering Equity in the Visual Arts Sector’. The 60 page report and 8 page bite size report summary are now available for download.
This event will be an opportunity to share feedback on the report with sector colleagues, as well as a chance for questions and discussion arising from the report’s themes and recommendations. Written by Dr Cecilia Wee and Veionella Spaine, ‘Fostering Equity in the Visual Arts Sector’ is a key part of the Fair and Equitable programme pilot year, from September 2021-September 2022. Saad Eddine Said, Artistic Director and CEO, New Art Exchange: Saad is the Co-Founder and previous Co-Artistic Director of the charity Terre Sans Frontiere (Morocco) and worked as the Director of HOME Slough (UK). Saad has recently taken the position as Artistic Director and CEO of New Art Exchange.
Zarina Muhammad, The White Pube: The White Pube is the collaborative identity of Gabrielle de la Puente and Zarina Muhammad under which they publish reviews and essays about art, video games and food. You can find them at thewhitepube.co.uk or on Twitter and Instagram at @thewhitepube.
Dr Kai Syng Tan PhD FRSA SFHEA ADHD, independent artist-curator, academic and consultant: Kai seeks to catalyse dialogues and actions for a more equitable future through mobilising artistic and artful processes to trespass disciplinary/cultural/geopolitical borders. To embody ‘creative neurodivergent leadership’, her interventions include setting up the global Neurodiversity In/& Creative Research Network and being a trustee board member of Hear Me Out (charity for detained migrants)
